In addition to limit login attempts, using the Ban plugin allows you to outright ban anyone who has been attempting to force their way in via a password attempt. It is a pretty easy cut and paste to update your banned list. It throws up an error message to the person saying they are not allowed to view the site. It is handy so you don't get repeated hits on the login.

Hello my friend...

The store itself is barely 2 months old as of today. The main blog is about 5 months old (PR1 only)...

For SEO, none was made for the store, I think it has 3 KW (pretty competitive, 4-digit exact) ranking on first page with no backlinking done to the eCommerce site nor the landing page itself.

Your reasons for using Squidoo are spot-on. It's such an easy platform with tools that make even the most drab of page-building tasks much less frustrating. It's a great platform for learning affiliate marketing skills without a lot of risk. Nicely written overview!

Hey David, nice to see your niche site is raking in some dough. It is going to get really exciting once you hit that #1 spot for your main keyword. One of my niche sites finally hit number 1 for a 1,300 global, 1,000 local search term and it is averaging about 14 visits a day from that keyword. Not much i know, but that one website is almost paying for my linkbuilding services alone.

It is cool when a site is making money and you haven't really done much too it. That really is low maintenance passive income. So what is your strategy? Are you going for a few, or maybe even 1 big website, or many smaller sites with lower traffic to reach your income goals?

I was analyzing your site the other day and saw that the title tag is actually ... Authority Site. You can change this with your SEO pack and add Main Keyword | Keyword 1 | Keyword 2 The title tag and the URL name are the most important factors for Google.
Actually living in JB for the time being can hit you with Satay and Beer on day.

Kinda weird huh... seem like unless you're a big corporate site, you'll have less chance to rank high on the SERPs, but we'll see... Hope your sites gain the traction back soon Eric.

My main photography site's traffic is back to normal, but that's because of a new post that I made. The older review posts that used to get 80 to 120+ views each day dropped to 35-50 since Panda 2.5... Sucks a lot.

Wow, I can't believe Oct 13th was just a "minor" update! I've never been penalized ever and this was an incredibly aggressive penalty. I do nothing Blackhat and yes to do make a little bit of earnings on Adsense and Amazon and others are speculating Google doesn't want others making money on the net so are hitting affiliates and adsense publishers hard!

Yup, we're not denying the fact that we still need Google, but unless we're doing thin info sites with little to no value to most people, there are many ways to MINIMIZE the impact of Google's changes to OUR businesses.
